Minnesota recalled Kurtis Gabriel on Saturday from AHL Iowa.

The 23-year-old has picked up a helper and 34 PIMs in 14 career NHL games. Down on the farm meanwhile he has posted six goals and seven points along with 40 PIMs in 25 games.

That's not too surprising given that Gabriel was scratched in the Wild's last four games. He has no points and 10 penalty minutes with Minnesota in 2016-17.

Kurtis Gabriel and Nate Prosser will be scratched from Sunday's match with Chicago.

Of the two, it's Gabriel who has put up a modicum of fantasy value. Through 11 games he's posted 24 PIMs and 26 hits in 11 games thus far. Prosser through meanwhile has but 25 blocks and 16 hits in 17 games.

Kurtis Gabriel will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Nashville Predators.

So will defenseman Nate Prosser. Gabriel has one assist and 24 penalty minutes in 10 games this season. This will be his second time in the press box since being recalled on December 1st.

Kurtis Gabriel and Nate Prosser will be scratched against the Coyotes on Saturday night.

Gabriel has posted nice rates as a bruiser with 24 PIMs and 13 hits in just seven games. Prosser meanwhile has little value, with just two points and 22 blocks in 14 games.

Kurtis Gabriel called Wednesday's game versus Toronto the "best night of my life."

With his mom, brother and stepdad in attendance, he registered his first NHL point against his hometown Maple Leafs. Gabriel earned an assist and a fighting major in the contest after he dropped the gloves with Roman Polak. He didn't have a point in three appearances with Minnesota last year and he has skated in three outings with the big club this season.

Kurtis Gabriel has been sent back to the minors.

He was assigned to the AHL on Monday and recalled on Tuesday because of injuries. Gabriel had 10 points and 137 penalty minutes in 66 games with Iowa last year.

The Wild called him up due to injuries to Charlie Coyle (lower body) and Ryan Carter (upper body).

Gabriel, still just 24-years-old, hasn't produced much down on the farm. On the score sheet that is, he's posted triple-digit PIMs totals the last four seasons dating back to his time with the OHL's Owen Sound.

He's skating on a line with Chris Porter and Zac Dalpe during the pregame warmup. The 22-year-old played the first three NHL games of his career in 2015-16.

He joined the Wild as part of the "Black Aces" squad, but he took some line rushes with the main group on the fourth line at the morning skate. He appears to be a possibility to play in Game 3 on Monday night.
