Oliver Bjorkstrand was sent to the minors by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Bjrokstrand had two 100 point seasons in the WHL so his offensive skills are top-notch. He will need to work on his defensive game but do not be surprised if he plays a couple of NHL games this season. Sep 26 - 6:22 AM

Oliver Bjorkstrand had two goals and three assists in Columbus' 8-5 victory over Minnesota in a prospects' game.

Obviously, given that we're talking about an exhibition contest with rosters that consisted only of prospects, it's not recommended to read much into the statistics. In Bjorkstrand's case though, this is an extension of his previous dominance over his peers. Bjorkstrand recorded over 100 points in each of his last two WHL campaigns, including 2014-15 when he had 63 goals and 118 points in 59 games. He'll be competing for a roster spot at the main camp, although we wouldn't bet on him making the team yet.

He has 52 goals and 97 points in 51 WHL contests this season after recording 51 goals and 109 points in 69 contests in 2013-14. "Oh my god, it's impressive," said Ryan Johansen, also a product of Portland. "Back-to-back 50 goals in any league … it's a huge, huge accomplishment for Oliver. I'm definitely happy for him."
