Harpur is serving as Ottawa's seventh defenseman. He has two assists in eight games in the 2017 playoffs.

Ben Harpur earned his first point of the 2017 playoffs on Saturday afternoon.

He picked up an assist and posted a plus-2 rating in 20:45 of ice time in Ottawa's 6-5 double overtime win over the New York Rangers. "He made some unbelievable, savant plays," said coach Guy Boucher. "His size is great, the way he defends, but his poise with the puck is really impressive. To make the plays he's making under that type of pressure right now, you can't help but being impressed."
