Date:

Bobby Farnham, Nikita Scherbak and Ryan Johnston will be scratched against the Wild on Thursday.

Farnham is the only one that has posted a modicum of fantasy value, unfortunately. He has eight hits and 17 PIMs in three games, which just about says it all.

Bobby Farnham has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Montreal Canadiens.

Farnham had 10 points and 97 penalty minutes in 53 games between the Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils last season. If he makes the Montreal Canadiens' opening game roster then he should once again be a good source of PIM.

Bobby Farnham, Joe Blandisi, Reid Boucher, and David Warsofsky will each be scratched for the season finale on Saturday against Toronto.

Farnham posted 10 points and 92 PIMs along with 83 hits in 50 games for the Devils this season after getting picked up off waivers. Blandisi meanwhile posted 17 points with 34 PIMs and 39 hits in 41 games during his rookie campaign. A lot to be proud of for a couple of kids trying to stick around in the game's highest level.

Bobby Farnham wants to return to the Devils next season.

Farnham is slated to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and is not sure the Devils want him back."I'd love to come back, but at the end of the season I'll find out," Farnham said. "I'd like to think I made enough of an impact to come back. I've enjoyed my time here and appreciated the opportunity. I would love to come back if the opportunity presented itself. But, to be honest, you never really know how the chips will fall. You never really know what people want until it comes down to that time. I'm just going to be patient and take it as it comes." The rugged winger was only known for his penalty minute totals before this season but Farnham has potted eight goals in a bottom-six role.

Bobby Farnham, Eric Gelinas, and Damon Severson will be scratched for Saturday's match with Washington.

With seven goals and eight points in 35 games thus far, Farnham has been a rather effective fourth liner for the Devils this season. But it's his 56 hits and 60 PIMs where the feisty winger makes his mark for fantasy owners.
