Kenton Helgesen has been traded to Chicago for Spencer Abbott and Sam Carrick.

The Anaheim Ducks have signed Kenton Helgesen to a three-year entry level contract.

Helgesen was selected in the seventh round of the 2012 Entry Draft and has played for the last three seasons for the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL. This season he had 10 goals and 51 points in 71 games and chipped in with a goal and an assist in six playoff matches. He will spend at least a few years honing his skills in the minors.
