Daniel Carr will be a healthy scratch against the Sharks on Friday.
Through the first 34 games of his NHL career, Carr has posted just seven goals and 11 points. Which includes two points in 11 games this season. It doesn't seem as though he's found his way with the big boys just yet. Dec 2 - 9:30 PM

Daniel Carr will be in the lineup Tuesday night against Boston.

He will replace injured forward Artturi Lehkonen. Carr has one assist in two appearances with the Canadiens this season.
Nov 8 - 10:14 AM

Both Daniel Carr and Joel Hanley will be scratched from Friday's match with Columbus.

Despite amassing six helpers in 10 games for Montreal already, the 25-year-old Hanley has not proven to be able to routinely pick up points down on the farm topping out at 17. Carr meanwhile has done better, including 24 points over his last 27 games in the AHL. But he has just 10 points in 25 NHL games, which leaves one to wonder if he can put it all together.

Nov 4 - 6:23 PM

Daniel Carr was back with the Canadiens on Thursday for practice.

He was called up on Wednesday night. He skated alongside Max Pacioretty and David Desharnais, while filling in for Andrew Shaw. Shaw missed the session for family reasons, but he did travel with the team so Carr may not be needed on Friday night.
Nov 4 - 8:14 AM

Daniel Carr has been sent down to AHL St. John's.

Carr suited up in Montreal's first two games of the year, but he has been a healthy scratch for the last six contests. He will get some playing time in the minors.
Oct 28 - 10:14 AM

Daniel Carr was once again a healthy scratch.

He did not suit up for Saturday night's 4-2 win over Boston. That makes three games in a row that Carr has not dressed. At one point Carr was discussed as a possible top-six forward this season, but with the Habs doing so well and getting contributions from Torey Mitchell and Paul Byron, Carr will have trouble geting back into the lineup, let alone playing on a scoring line.
Oct 23 - 10:12 AM

Daniel Carr, Greg Pateryn and Zach Redmond will each be scratched from Thursday's match with Arizona.

Carr continues to struggle to earn the trust of coach Michel Therrien. Despite collecting an assist in two games thus far, he's averaged just under 11 minutes per night. Pateryn meanwhile has two blocks and a hit through three games, while skating over 17 minutes per. Neither are great fantasy options, unfortunately.
Oct 20 - 6:50 PM

Daniel Carr will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against Pittsburgh.

Brian Flynn will take his spot on the roster. Carr picked up one assist and two penalty minutes in Montreal's first two games. Greg Pateryn and Zach Redmond will also serve as the Canadiens' extra defenseman tonight.
Oct 18 - 6:39 PM

Daniel Carr was glad to score his first preseason goal in three outings on Sunday night.

"This gets a monkey off my back, but if you're getting chances, the puck will go in," said Carr. He tied the game at 2-2 with just 17 seconds left in regulation, but the Maple Leafs emerged with the victory in overtime. Carr is vying for a bottom-six forward spot on the Canadiens.
Oct 3 - 9:47 AM

Daniel Carr found himself on Montreal's third line during the opening day of training camp.

Carr skated with David Desharnais and Sven Andrighetto. The young forward got his first taste of NHL action last season, as he registered nine points in 23 games, but it was his ability to do little things well that made him stand out. He probably won't produce enough to be fantasy relevant, but he should be able to stick somewhere on the Canadiens' top three lines.
Sep 24 - 9:22 AM

Daniel Carr got a taste of NHL action last year and he is looking to claim a roster spot on the Canadiens at training camp.

"I learned that if given the chance, I can compete there," he said. "That was the biggest thing, knowing that and coming into the summer making sure to give myself the biggest chance to get back there this year. There's nothing quite like skating onto the ice at the Bell Centre, so you want to give yourself the best chance to get back to it." He feels he learned a great deal about being a pro and he has worked hard in the off-season to get another NHL opportunity. Carr had six goals and nine points in 23 outings with Montreal.
Aug 7 - 7:00 PM

Daniel Carr has inked a two-year contract with Montreal worth $1.45M.

Carr had six goals and nine points in 22 contests with the Canadiens in 2015-16. The 22-year-old also had 10 goals and 21 points in 24 AHL games.
Jul 1 - 3:30 PM

Daniel Carr will be back in Montreal's lineup on Saturday night.

The 24-year-old has only played in 19 games this season, but he's stood out with his solid work ethic. Carr has five goals and eight points this season. He's been out since Jan. 25.
