Linus Ullmark is probable to start Tuesday night versus Nashville.

He was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate and thinks he is playing even though coach Dan Bylsma wouldn't confirm a starter. The Sabres bench boss said it would be a game-time decision.

Linus Ullmark was recalled from AHL Rochester on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has had a fine season for the Amerks thus far. In 42 games he's 20-20-2 with a .910 save percentage and a 2.90 GAA.

Linus Ullmark was the top goaltender at the AHL All-Star skills competition.

Ullmark stopped 15 of 18 shots in the event to secure that honor. "In my events as a goaltender, the key to being successful is having a lot of patience and I think I had that for the most part," Ullmark said. "I was very excited and that is the one reason I was very relieved I went first in most of my events." He has a 2.84 GAA and .913 save percentage in 34 games with the Rochester Americans.

Anders Nilsson is ready to return from his illness. Ullmark has a 3.02 GAA and .908 save percentage in 29 AHL contests in 2016-17. He hasn't played with the Sabres this season.

Ullmark will serve as the team's backup goaltender while Anders Nilsson recovers from an illness. Ullmark had a 2.60 GAA and .913 save percentage in 20 starts with Buffalo in 2015-16.

The 23-year-old has yet to appear in a game this season with the Sabres. In 28 games for the Americans this season however, he's posted a 14-13-1 record with a .906 save percentage and a 3.06 GAA.

There was a chance that Robin Lehner (hip) would serve as Buffalo's backup on Thursday, but the promotion of Ullmark seems to rule that out. Anders Nilsson will still be the Sabres' starter Thursday night.

The Buffalo Sabres have assigned Linus Ullmark back to AHL Rochester.

Ullmark impressed during his time with the Sabres last season, and is being offered the chance to rule their AHL crease. He's off to a rocky start with 11 goals against in four games, unfortunately. And isn't yet in line to supersede Robin Lehner.

Robin Lehner is sick, so Ullmark will backup Anders Nilsson on Tuesday. Ullmark has a 2.75 GAA and .926 save percentage in four AHL games this season.

Though he was with Buffalo for the pre-season finale, Linus Ullmark will begin the season in AHL Rochester.

Ullmark impressed in 20 games of NHL action last season, posting a .913 save percentage and 2.60 GAA. More surprisingly however, is that the 23-year-old struggled down on the farm, posting a .902 save percentage and 3.41 GAA. Though it's worth noting 2015-16 was his first season in North America.

Linus Ullmark has been called up by the Buffalo Sabres.

Buffalo probably just wants an extra goalie for the short-term. Ullmark is still expected to begin the 2016-17 campaign in the AHL.

Linus Ullmark has been returned to the minors.

Evan Rodrigues and Cole Schneider were also assigned to Rochester after playing in their first NHL games at the end of the season. Ullmark played in 20 games with Buffalo in 2015-16 and he showed some promise. He went 8-10-2 with a 2.60 GAA and a .913 save percentage.
