Wayne Primeau is in training camp with the Maple Leafs on a professional tryout contract.
While his chances of making the Leafs appear slim, Primeau is using it as an opportunity to stay fit and play with NHL players while awaiting a call from another club. "I figured, you know, I am here and it gives me the opportunity to continue to skate instead of skating by myself," Primeau said. He has no fantasy value. Sat, Sep 18, 2010 12:46:00 PM

Wayne Primeau (knee) will be back in the Toronto lineup on Thursday.

Primeau has missed the last nine games with a knee injury. He has five points in 35 games this season, so his fantasy value is nil.

Wayne Primeau (knee) could return to the Leafs lineup as early as Tuesday.

Primeau is ready to play, but he still needs to receive medical clearance. He has five points and 20 penalty minutes in 35 games this season.

Wayne Primeau (knee) practiced with the Leafs on Sunday.

He traveled with the team for Monday's game against Nashville, but is doubtful for that match. He could return either Tuesday or Thursday, depending on how his knee feels after a few practices.

Wayne Primeau will be out of action for 2-4 weeks due to a knee injury sustained in Saturday night's game against Calgary.

He left the game in the third period and did not return. Look for Toronto to make two callups Monday to replace Primeau and Mikhail Grabovski.

Wayne Primeau will return to action Saturday against the Rangers.

He has not played in a game this season and is looking forward to making his Maple Leaf debut after recovering from a shoulder injury. Primeau is slated to center the Buds' fourth line and his presence in the lineup could send either Jamal Mayers and/or Nikolai Kulemin to the pressbox. Primeau should no longer be considered a fantasy asset.

Wayne Primeau remains about a week from returning to the lineup with a shoulder injury, according to coach Ron Wilson.

Primeau has been out the past week with the injury, but was practicing without contact Sunday. The team could use his veteran leadership after a rough start to the season.

Wayne Primeau has been traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs, along with the Flames' 2nd round pick in 2011 for Colin Stuart, Anton Stralman and the Leafs' 7th round selection in the 2012.

Primeau appeared in 24 games for Calgary last season after struggling through some injuries. He earned four assists and 14 penalty minutes. He does not have any fantasy value and would likely be a fourth line player should he make the Toronto opening night roster.

Wayne Primeau is still at least a few weeks away from returning to the lineup.

Primeau suffered a broken foot in early December and is now in a walking cast. He has no fantasy value when healthy, but the Flames miss his large presence in their lineup. Look for an early-to-mid-February return for Primeau.

Wayne Primeau will not be in the Calgary lineup on Tuesday with a foot injury.

Coach Mike Keenan says the veteran center is still day-to-day with his injured left foot. Just an FYI as he shouldn't be on anyone's fantasy team.

Wayne Primeau scored his first goal of the season on Wednesday.

Primeau had not scored in 32 games, going back to March 6, 2007. Primeau missed two months of action this season with a broken leg. Despite the goal, we really can't recommend the tall center in any fantasy pools.

He played just 8:39 in the contest after being out since Oct. 20 with a broken leg and a high ankle sprain. Primeau played on a line with Stephane Yelle and Matthew Lombardi.
