Radek Dvorak got a five-minute charging penalty and game misconduct for crashing into goaltender Roberto Luongo on Thursday.

Dvorak claimed he got a little push while going hard at the net and that's what caused the incident. "It was not intentional at all," Dvorak insisted. "That's not my style." Luongo left the game with an upper-body injury as a result of the incident.

He doesn't have any real fantasy relevance so JFYI.

Radek Dvorak was the lone goal scorer in Thursday's 1-0 win by the Hurricanes over the Islanders.

The veteran forward has notched three goals so far this season, but isn't worthy of consideration in fantasy leagues. Ron Hainsey drew the only assist on the goal.

Carolina Hurricanes winger Radek Dvorak (lower body) might not play on Monday after skipping Sunday's skate.

Radek Dvorak has found the back of the net in each of his first two games with Carolina.

He has made the most of his four shots and 13:40 of average ice time by scoring two goals in two contests. Dvorak also has a plus-3 rating. He has been playing with Riley Nash and Jeff Skinner on the Hurricanes' third line. We wouldn't rush to grab him though.

Radek Dvorak has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Dvorak will earn $600,000 if he spends the season in the NHL or $125,000 annually in the AHL. However, he's guaranteed to earn at least $250,000 in 2013-14. He earned this contract after attending the Hurricanes' training camp on a tryout basis. He has a wealth of NHL experience, but at the age of 36, he doesn't have any fantasy value in standard leagues.
