Jay Pandolfo replaced Chris Bourque on the third line Thursday night.
Pandolfo, who had been primarily a fourth-liner, was a minus-one in 11:42 of ice time. It's very likely this is a short-term thing as the Bruins are shopping for a No. 3 left wing. Mar 8 - 8:46 AM

Jay Pandolfo made his season debut Sunday.

Milan Lucic was back in Boston to deal with a personal matter, so Pandolfo, who had recently signed a one-year deal, was inserted into the lineup, despite not having any game time under his belt this season. Pandolfo went on to play 6:48 with three hits.

Jay Pandolfo successfully cleared waivers Wednesday and will stay with the team for now as a spare forward.

He can be assigned to AHL Providence to see game action and he's prepared to go down to the minors to keep himself fresh if it comes to that. "I'm sure I'll spend some time down there," said Pandolfo, who signed a one-year deal with the Bruins on Tuesday. "I don't know if it will be now or a little bit later. I'll take it day by day and see what they do."

A source tells CSNNE's Joe Haggerty that the Boston Bruins signed Jay Pandolfo to a one-year, $600,000 contract.

The Bruins placed Pandolfo on waivers Tuesday, which led many to believe Pandolfo had signed after spending weeks working out with the team as an unsigned free agent. If he clears waivers, it's possible Pandolfo could spend a few games in the AHL to get his conditioning up to game level. Either way, he doesn't have a ton of fantasy value in most formats.

Boston Bruins place W Jay Pandolfo on waivers.

The move means Boston has likely signed Pandolfo and plans on adding him to its active roster once Pandolfo clears waivers. He'll likely compete for a spot in the Bruins' bottom six forwards and doesn't possess fantasy value in most formats. We'll update you as soon as we know more.
Feb 12 - 12:15 PM

Despite remaining without a contract, Jay Pandolfo continues to practice with the Boston Bruins.

In fact, it appears he's also traveling with the team. That might seem like a lot for a guy who's only a tryout, but perhaps this means he'll get a chance to actually crack the Bruins' lineup.
Feb 10 - 6:10 PM

Jay Pandolfo is still practicing with the Boston Bruins on a professional tryout agreement.

Boston coach Claude Julien stated that something might be worked out to allow Pandolfo to enter the fold "down the road," but for now "he's happy to be here with us."
Feb 5 - 7:46 AM

Jay Pandolfo, who is playing on an NHL tryout, is in the mix for Boston's last forward spot.

"Jay is Jay. He works hard every day," coach Claude Julien said. "He's a real smart player. He knows what he has to do defensively and offensively. He's been a real good player throughout his career." Pandolfo played 62 games for the Islanders last season.
Jan 17 - 8:32 AM

Jay Pandolfo will take part in the Boston Bruins' training camp.

Pandolfo has a shot of making the team as a third liner, but he's still an unrestricted free agent. Even if he ends up playing in the NHL this season, he won't have any fantasy value in standard leagues.
Jan 11 - 4:09 PM

The New York Islanders have activated Jay Pandolfo off of the injured reserve list.

Pandolfo has reportedly been healthy enough to return for several days now, but the Islanders didn't want to alter their lineup while they were winning. However, Marty Reasoner broke his hand on Friday, so they had to make an adjustment.

Jay Pandolfo (foot) will probably return to the Islanders' lineup on Saturday.

Pandolfo thought he was healthy enough to return earlier this week, but the Islanders were reluctant to insert him into the lineup while they were winning. However, the Islanders are forced to make a change after Marty Reasoner suffered a broken hand Friday.

Jay Pandolfo (foot) thinks he's healthy enough to play, but he'll stay on the injured reserve list for now.

"We've won two in a row, so it's a matter of getting healthy and staying ready," Pandolfo said. He has a goal and a minus-five rating in 21 games.

Pandolfo is expected to be out for another month, so this move isn't too surprising. He has a goal in 21 games this season.

Jay Pandolfo broke his foot while blocking a shot on Saturday.

Pandolfo is expected to miss the next six weeks as a result. He has no fantasy value, but he's a decent defensive forward that helps kill penalties.

The New York Islanders signed veteran forward Jay Pandolfo to a one-year deal.

The 36-year-old Pandolfo was in the Isles' training camp on a tryout basis. Terms were not disclosed, but there is some thought it is for the veteran minimum of $570K. Pandolfo, who spent all or part of his 13 seasons with the Devils as a checking line player and penalty-kill specialist, last played in the NHL in 2009-10.
