"We have to find away to bring the positive energy," Jokinen said after Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Florida. "Once you put that jersey on, you have to have pride, have to play for that logo, that city and your teammates and at the end of the day, for your family and yourself." Jokinen is looking to make an impression during his time with the Leafs. The Predators are trying something novel with their forward lines.

They are playing Olli Jokinen, a center by trade, with two other centers, Matt Cullen and Derek Roy. The three- pivot line had some success against the Senators on Thursday as Jokinen scored his first goal and registered his first point of the season. Perhaps this wacky alignment will get the Finn going in the right direction. FYI the Preds are now playing Craig Smith with Colin Wilson and rookie Calle Jarnkrok. Nashville's top line of Mike Ribeiro between James Neal and Filip Forsberg remains intact.

It took 19 games, but Olli Jokinen finally scored his first goal as a Nashville Predator on Thursday night, in a 3-2 loss to Ottawa.

Well past his prime and on the brink of complete irrelevancy, Jokinen hopes his first point of the season can give him a boost on the Central-leading Predators. It comes nearly a quarter of the way through the hockey calendar.
