It certainly appears as if Hal Gill will suit up for the Flyers on Sunday.

Gill was paired with Mark Streit in practice Saturday as Streit's usual partner, Nicklas Grossmann was injured on Friday and will not play Sunday. Gill played only six times this season as he played three games in November, one in December and two games just a couple of weeks ago. Erik Gustafsson is the other possibility for the Flyers on the blueline.

Hal Gill may patrol the back end for the Flyers in Game 5.

Nicklas Grossmann was injured in Friday's game and Gill skated with Mark Streit during Saturday's practice. Coach Craig Berube likes pairing a puck-moving defenseman with a stay-at-home type, so that's why Gill could get the nod to play instead of Erik Gustafsson. Gil played in just six games during the regular season.

Hal Gill has been a healthy scratch for the last 20 games.

Just an FYI as if Gill is in your fantasy lineup perhaps you should take up another hobby, like crossword puzzles which celebrates its 100th anniversary today.

Hal Gill has agreed to a one-year/$700k deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Gill took part in the Flyers' training camp on a tryout basis. Gill should be a solid defenseman for Philadelphia, but from a fantasy perspective, he's a non-factor.

The Philadelphia Flyers might still end up signing Hal Gill.

Gill attended the Flyers' training camp on a tryout basis. The team is just barely under the cap ceiling right now, but they still haven't placed Chris Pronger on the long-term injured reserve list. Once that happens, they'll have the ability to sign Gill.

A decision will be made on Hal Gill Monday.

Gill is on a PTO and is definitely on the bubble as far as making the team. Gill has value only in the penalty minute category in fantasy hockey so if he is unable to sign on with the Flyers, there will be other options for you in that category.

Hal Gill probably won't end up making the Philadelphia Flyers' roster.

Gill has been attending the Flyers' training camp on a tryout basis. However, the Flyers have a defensive logjam that they haven't really addressed over the preseason, so there doesn't appear to be a spot for Gill. Of course, that could change quickly if Philadelphia makes a trade.

Hal Gill is still in the mix to make the Philadelphia Flyers, but it will be hard for him to breakthrough their defensive logjam.

Philadelphia has nine defensemen inked to one-way contracts, not including Chris Pronger. All the same, Gill has been holding his own in the preseason and that should help him get a job elsewhere if things don't work out with Philadelphia.

Hal Gill, who will attend Philadelphia's camp on a tryout basis, will have a tough time making the team.

Philadelphia has nine defensemen signed to one-way contracts, not including Chris Pronger (concussion). "I am going to do the best I can to impress people," Gill said. "I am not looking at it as trying to get a roster spot. I am looking at it as a chance to play." Even if that doesn't end up coming from Philadelphia, playing in their training camp keeps him from getting rusty. With the cap falling, this hasn't been a particularly friendly free agent period for players in the twilight of their careers and Gill certainly isn't the only veteran defenseman still looking for work.

Hal Gill has reportedly been invited to Philadelphia's training camp.

He appeared in 32 games with Nashville last season and was bought out by the Predators in July. Gill told Sportsnet's Josh Rimer that he's excited and thankful to the Flyers for the opportunity.

Hal Gill is still looking for work after being bought out by Nashville.

He told TSN's Mark Masters that he does not want to end NHL career with "a bitter taste in [his] mouth" and he has a "chip on [his] shoulder" entering the 2013-14 campaign. Gill also told Masters that he was surprised that the Predators bought him out because he thought he was a good fit there and he could help mentor prospect Seth Jones.

Hal Gill has been bought out by the Nashville Predators.

Just an FYI as this move was expected. Gill is a defensive defenseman that's likely to find a new home in the NHL, but he won't have any fantasy value.

Hal Gill has landed on unconditional waivers and he's likely to be bought out by the Predators.

Gill cleared regular waivers Wednesday and he's no longer in Nashville's plans following the drafting of highly-touted prospect Seth Jones.

Hal Gill passed through waivers unclaimed Wednesday.

The Preds waived Gill on Tuesday because they felt he didn't on the roster after the selection of defenseman Seth Jones with the No. 4 overall pick. It's up to the Preds now to trade or buy out Gill's contract.
