Bryce Salvador is no longer dealing with a hip problem.
Salvador was limited to just 40 contests in 2013-14, but he should be fine for the start of training camp. The bigger question is if the Devils will decide to buy out the final season of his contract. Jun 17 - 6:53 PM

There's a chance that Bryce Salvador's tenure with the New Jersey Devils will end with a compliance buyout.

Salvador's cap hit for the 2014-15 campaign will be $3,166,667 and his contract will expire after that. He was limited to just 40 games last season, but he did log an average of 20:17 minutes per game when he was healthy.

Bryce Salvador (groin) hasn't started to skate yet.

With that in mind, Salvador probably won't be back before the end of the regular season. He has a goal and three assists in 40 games in 2013-14.

Bryce Salvador (upper body) sat out his second straight game on Sunday.

Salvador took a shot off his collarbone/upper chest area Thursday and has not played since. He could not go on the weekend so consider him day-to-day for now. He has no fantasy value with only three assists in 30 games.
Mar 3 - 7:54 AM

Bryce Salvador (upper body) didn't take part in Friday's practice.

Salvador absorbed a shot to what was reportedly the collarbone/upper chest area during Thursday's game and that's the source of his injury. He did travel with the team to Long Island though and there's still a chance that he'll play on Saturday.
Feb 28 - 5:10 PM

Bryce Salvador (foot) ended up logging 23:36 minutes in his return on Saturday.

That's after Salvador missed a little bit over two months. "I wasn't expecting that much the first game, but I just got right back at it," said Salvador. "I couldn’t wait to get back into this game. It was good that we got the win." He blocked two shots and was credited with five hits in the 2-1 victory.

Bryce Salvador (foot) is "pretty close" to returning.

Salvador will accompany the Devils on their upcoming two-game road trip that includes games in Washington on Saturday and Chicago on Monday. "Whether I play on the trip or not, we'll see, but definitely it's just good to be back skating with the guys and just that fact alone means I'm that much closer," he said. If nothing else, this trip will help him work on his conditioning ahead of a possible return on Dec. 27.

Bryce Salvador's fractured foot has healed to the point where he's able to practice.

Salvador didn't experience any pain when he skated on Wednesday. He won't be available on Friday or Saturday, but at this point, the distance until his return is probably better to measure in days than weeks.

Bryce Salvador has yet to return to the ice after fracturing his foot on October 29.

Salvador was expected to be out at least a week but it's turning into a month or more as he suffered a non-displaced stress fracture of his foot. Salvador had two assists in nine games before the injury with nine penalty minutes so he has limited fantasy value at best when healthy.
