Milan Hejduk won't dress in Friday's game at Phoenix, but he will play in Saturday's regular-season finale back home versus Minnesota.
He has been a healthy scratch for the past two games, as Colorado evaluates some of their younger players. It is likely that Hejduk retires after this season, even though he hasn't made anything official yet, so Saturday's contest could act as a farewell appearance for the long-time Avalanche winger. Hejduk may be playing his last season in the NHL as he is now 37 so you have to wonder if he has played his last game in the NHL. If so, he will leave the game with 375 goals and 805 career points in 1018 games, all with the Colorado Avalanche.

Milan Hejduk skated alongside Paul Stastny and Gabriel Landeskog Thursday night against Minnesota.

This is a nice spot for Hejduk, who returned from a neck injury to play Thursday. However, since the Avs' lost to the Wild with a lackluster effort don't count on the unit staying together. For the record, David Jones dropped down to the third unit to accommodate the switch.
