Nov 22 - 12:40 PM

Bryan Allen, who was acquired in a trade with Anaheim on Thursday, is available for action Saturday night against Boston.

That doesn't mean Allen will suit up, though. Mike Weaver returned to action from injury Thursday so the Habs have plenty of choices for their game-day roster. If Allen does get into the contest, you can expect the usual from him---no points and some PIMs.

Bryan Allen has been traded to Montreal in exchange for Rene Bourque.

In six games with the Anaheim Ducks this season, Allen has one assist, 11 blocks and 10 hits. He missed the first 14 games of the year because of a lower-body injury.
Nov 20 - 5:36 PM

The Anaheim Ducks have recalled Bryan Allen from the minors.

Nov 3 - 4:58 AM

Bryan Allen (lower body) has been sent to the AHL on a conditioning assignment.

Allen hasn't played this season because of a lower-body injury, so he'll shake off some rust in the minors before rejoining the Ducks after three games or six days.
Oct 30 - 6:33 PM

Bryan Allen (lower body) was able to practice with the Ducks on Monday.

Allen hasn't made his season debut yet. He's obviously making progress, but might end up missing more playing time as he tries to avoid a setback.

Oct 17 - 4:41 AM

Bryan Allen (lower body) still isn't skating.

Anaheim put Allen on the injured reserve list on Wednesday, but because it's retroactive, they can activate him at any time. Given that he hasn't been skating though, we doubt he'll return in the near future.

Apr 24 - 9:03 AM

Bryan Allen is expected to return to the Anaheim lineup on Monday after being a healthy scratch the last two games.

At least it was assumed that Allen was a healthy scratch until coach Bruce Boudreau said that Allen has been dealing with some minor injuries. "It wasn't that Bryan is doing anything wrong," Boudreau said. "He had a lot of hurts. We just wanted to make sure that when he was hurt, and it started when he pulled his groin about a month ago, he didn't practice. So he got a little bit out of his game shape and then he got hurt again in another part of his body. It was more of give him a rest but practice him hard type thing. Now I think he's ready to go back in." Allen has only seven assists in 46 games but does contribute with a plus-16 rating and 44 penalty minutes for poolies.
