Bryan Allen is expected to return to the Anaheim lineup on Monday after being a healthy scratch the last two games.

At least it was assumed that Allen was a healthy scratch until coach Bruce Boudreau said that Allen has been dealing with some minor injuries. "It wasn't that Bryan is doing anything wrong," Boudreau said. "He had a lot of hurts. We just wanted to make sure that when he was hurt, and it started when he pulled his groin about a month ago, he didn't practice. So he got a little bit out of his game shape and then he got hurt again in another part of his body. It was more of give him a rest but practice him hard type thing. Now I think he's ready to go back in." Allen has only seven assists in 46 games but does contribute with a plus-16 rating and 44 penalty minutes for poolies.

Bryan Allen returned to action Friday night against the Blackhawks.

He had been sidelined for four games due to a foot injury. Ducks' coach Bruce Boudreau seemed to ease Allen back into the lineup by giving him only 15:42 of ice time. The veteran rearguard was minus one in a 4-2 loss to Chicago.

Bryan Allen (foot) is likely to return on Friday.

Allen has missed four consecutive contests and will be out for a fifth on Wednesday. "I felt pretty close to being ready," Allen said. "We'll see. I don't like to miss any games. I wish I would have played the last two." He has no fantasy value in standard leagues.

Bryan Allen (lower body) will take part in the Ducks' pregame warmups on Tuesday.

As Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau previously indicated, Allen is a game-time decision on Tuesday. He has missed three consecutive games.

Bryan Allen (lower body) took part in Monday's practice.

Allen wasn't expected to return in the near future, but Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau said he would be a game-time decision on Tuesday. He has five points and 32 penalty minutes in 26 games this season.

Look for Bryan Allen (lower body) to return to action in a couple of weeks.

Allen has five assists in 26 games this season to go with a plus-eight rating and 32 penalty minutes. Just an FYI in case he is on your fantasy roster.

Allen participated in the Ducks' first 26 contests. He has five points, 32 penalty minutes, and a plus-eight rating this season.

Bryan Allen suffered a lower body injury in the second period Saturday and did not return.

Coach Bruce Boudreau did not think the injury was serious so consider him day-to-day. Allen has only five assists in 26 games but is in the top-45 in the NHL in both plus-minus (plus-eight) and penalty minutes with 32 so he has some value in deeper leagues.

Anaheim Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau is thrilled with Bryan Allen this season.

"Best I've ever seen him," Boudreau said. "I hope I don't put a whammy on him. He's been tremendous. Really tremendous." Allen's lack of offensive upside makes him a non-factor in standard leagues, but that changes significantly in leagues that use hits and blocked shots. He's been credited with 24 blocked shots and 41 hits in 17 games this season.

Bryan Allen won't play Thursday.

He is being scratched and Sheldon Souray will be back in the lineup in his place. However, this should probably be qualified as just a rest day for the hard-nosed defenseman.

After three tough games and a benching, Bryan Allen's game is coming back.

Coach Bruce Boudreau is showing faith in the defenseman and Allen's game has come around as he had an assist and was a plus-one Sunday in a 2-1 loss to Columbus. Allen was minus-seven in three games from March 22-27. "Probably more than I should sometimes," Allen said as to whether he puts too much pressure on himself. "I think that I take pride in trying to be consistent. When things aren't going the way they are. It's a battle sometimes. You just got to try to stay with it. I've been playing long enough in the league, I think you realize it's just little things that you've got to focus on and hard work." Allen has five assists in 29 games with a minus-two rating and 30 penalty minutes this season and has little fantasy value in traditional pools.

Bryan Allen was minus-three for the second game in a row on Monday.

The defensive defenseman now is minus-two on the season with four assists in 26 games. He should not be on your fantasy radar in traditional pools although he could be considered in very deep pools that use blocked shots as he has 40.

Bryan Allen (flu) returned to the Ducks lineup on Tuesday.

Allen missed five games due to the illness. He had had two PIM and a plus-one rating in Anaheim's 2-1 victory.
