Bryan Allen (flu) took part in Monday's practice.
However, he skated on Montreal's fourth defense pairing, so he's unlikely to play on Tuesday even if he's fully recovered from the flu. That means that Nathan Beaulieu will probably stay in the lineup. Dec 16 - 9:04 AM

Date:

Bryan Allen didn't skate Monday because of the flu.

It's unclear if he'll be available to play on Tuesday night at this time. Just an FYI as Allen doesn't have any fantasy value.

Bryan Allen and Drayson Bowman will again be healthy scratches on Saturday night in Dallas.

Though Montreal fell to Chicago on Friday night, it doesn't appear that Coach Therrien wants to make any defensive changes just yet.

Dec 5 - 6:54 PM

Bryan Allen on the ice for the Montreal Canadiens Wednesday versus the Minnesota Wild.

It will be Allen's turn on defense for Montreal instead of Mike Weaver. Allen has produced a lone assist in just six games this season but he will try to jump start his season on Wednesday night. Mike Weaver will be missing his third game of the year.
Dec 3 - 7:01 PM

Bryan Allen made his Canadiens' debut on Saturday night against the Boston Bruins.

Allen played 14:30 in the game. The 34-year-old was acquired earlier this week from Anaheim for Rene Bourque. He has no fantasy value going forward.
Nov 23 - 12:41 PM

Bryan Allen will make his Montreal Canadiens debut on Saturday after being traded from the Anaheim Ducks.

The 34-year-old is most useful for penalty minutes. In 716 career regular season games, Allen has 29 goals, 135 points and 837 PIM. Allen had 75 PIM in 68 games last season.
Nov 22 - 12:40 PM

Bryan Allen, who was acquired in a trade with Anaheim on Thursday, is available for action Saturday night against Boston.

That doesn't mean Allen will suit up, though. Mike Weaver returned to action from injury Thursday so the Habs have plenty of choices for their game-day roster. If Allen does get into the contest, you can expect the usual from him---no points and some PIMs.
Nov 22 - 10:51 AM

Bryan Allen has been traded to Montreal in exchange for Rene Bourque.

In six games with the Anaheim Ducks this season, Allen has one assist, 11 blocks and 10 hits. He missed the first 14 games of the year because of a lower-body injury.
Nov 20 - 5:36 PM

The Anaheim Ducks have recalled Bryan Allen from the minors.

Allen was on a conditioning assignment so his return was anticipated as he was recovering from a lower body injury. He was a healthy scratch.
Nov 3 - 4:58 AM

Bryan Allen (lower body) has been sent to the AHL on a conditioning assignment.

Allen hasn't played this season because of a lower-body injury, so he'll shake off some rust in the minors before rejoining the Ducks after three games or six days.
Oct 30 - 6:33 PM

Bryan Allen (lower body) was able to practice with the Ducks on Monday.

Allen hasn't made his season debut yet. He's obviously making progress, but might end up missing more playing time as he tries to avoid a setback.
Oct 21 - 8:15 AM

Bryan Allen (lower body) is expected to miss at least two more games.

Allen hasn't made his season debut yet. He had 10 assists in 68 games in 2013-14.
Oct 17 - 4:41 AM

Bryan Allen (lower body) still isn't skating.

Anaheim put Allen on the injured reserve list on Wednesday, but because it's retroactive, they can activate him at any time. Given that he hasn't been skating though, we doubt he'll return in the near future.
Oct 16 - 7:35 AM

Bryan Allen (lower body) has been moved to injured reserve.

He has missed Anaheim's first four games of the season due to a lower-body injury.
