Scott Hannan is set to play in his 1,000th career game on Tuesday.

Scott Hannan has agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract with the San Jose Sharks.

Hannan had 12 points and 55 penalty minutes in 56 games in 2013-14. It's likely that Hannan's role with the Sharks will be limited next season. At the age of 35, he's more of a mentor for the team's younger players than anything else.

Scott Hannan assisted on both of the Sharks' goals in their 2-1 victory on Wednesday.
