While the Buffalo Sabres have not announced that they have signed Mark Parrish there are reports that they have placed him on waivers to try to assign him to the minors.

Parrish had been attending camp on a tryout basis, but the team released him last week. We'll let you know if we hear anything on this front, but Parrish doesn't look like he will have any fantasy value this year anyway.

Mark Parrish, who is attending Buffalo's camp on a tryout basis, will make his exhibition debut on Thursday versus Montreal.

He has been slowed during camp by a hip flexor ailment, but has not received his walking papers yet from the Sabres. Parrish spent the majority of last season in the minors with Tampa Bay's AHL affiliate in Norfolk where he posted 17 goals and 38 points in 56 games.

Mark Parrish has been offered a tryout with the Vancouver Canucks.

Parrish played with the Dallas Stars last season, joining the team as a free agent in early November. He started off great with a hat trick in his first game, but soon found himself on the bench and then in the press box. The 32-year-old ended the season with only eight goals and 13 points in 44 games. He will have no fantasy value if he is able to make the Canucks this season.

Parrish suffered a concussion on Tuesday when hit by Blues Jay McKee at center ice. "We want to be careful," coach Dave Tippett said. "He had a headache this morning, and that’s not his first [concussion]." If he is on your roster, reserve him for now.
