Lubos Bartecko is reportedly in stable condition after suffering a severe concussion and a laceration to his head on Tuesday night.
He exited Tuesday's 4-3 win over Norway after being hit hard by an elbow from defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen. Bartecko's helmet fell off on the play and his head hit the ice hard. He was taken off the ice on a stretcher, but was moving his arms as he was carted away. It's probably safe to say he will not be back in the Slovakian lineup for the remainder of the Olympics. Lubos Bartecko and Mark Hartigan will not be back with the Thrashers this season, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Neither was made a qualifying offer. Atlanta still hopes to sign Slava Kozlov to a contract despite the fact that the 31-year-old left winger became an unrestricted free agent last night. The latest offer on the table is for one-year, and $4 million. Kozlov has already rejected a 3-year, $9.3 million contract.
