Colin White did not make the St. Louis Blues' opening game roster.
White attended the Blues camp on a tryout basis. He might be able to find work with another NHL squad after recording four points and 21 penalty minutes in 54 games last season, but he won't have any fantasy value. Fri, Jan 18, 2013 04:20:00 PM

Colin White is in camp with the Blues on a pro tryout basis.

White had four points and 21 penalty minutes in 54 games for the Sharks in 2011-12. He's one of several veteran defensemen floating on the free-agency wire, but White isn't a fantasy factor even if he sticks in St. Louis.

Colin White was activated from the IL on Thursday January 19.

He returned to San Jose's lineup for the first time since Dec. 26 because of a lower-body injury. White recorded one shot and a minus-1 rating during his 15:20 of ice time.

Colin White (lower body) has been placed on the injured reserve list.

The Sharks needed to clear up space on their roster for Tommy Wingels. White hasn't played since December 26th, so he's eligible to be activated at any time.

Colin White (lower body) did not skate on Friday but hopes to do so on Saturday.

White suffered the injury on Monday and sat out Wednesday's game. The Sharks are off this weekend so White will try to get back in the lineup next week.

Colin White will be out of action for an undetermined time with a lower body injury.

White suffered the injury on Monday against the Ducks. He has no fantasy value so this should not affect your fantasy squad.

Colin White exited Monday's game against Anaheim midway through the second period and didn't return.

He recorded an assist and a plus-1 rating in just over eight minutes of ice time before leaving with an undisclosed injury. Consider him day-to-day until more information is available.

He blocked a shot 12:29 into the frame and promptly left for the dressing room. We'll pass along an update once more is known about White's status.

Colin White dressed Saturday night against the Panthers.

He has been in and out of the lineup recently and had left the team last week to attend a family funeral. White registered an assist in the 5-3 loss to Florida and seems to be slotted in the Sharks' third defence pairing. He has virtually no fantasy value.

Colin White has agreed to a one-year/$1 million contract.

White was set to earn $3 million with the New Jersey Devils next season, but the team decided to buy out his contract. He has no fantasy value, but he's a solid defensive defenseman.

The New Jersey Devils have bought out the remainder of Colin White's contract.

White would have earned $3 million in 2011-12. Instead, he'll cost the Devils $1 million in cap space in 2011-12 and another million in 2012-13. White is now an unrestricted free agent and we expect him to sign with another NHL club before the start of training camp.

Colin White has successfully cleared waivers.

That's hardly a surprise. He's solid defensively, but he doesn't chip in much offensively and he was set to make $3 million in 2011-12. The Devils are expected to buyout his contract, which would make him an unrestricted free agent.
Tue, Aug 2, 2011 12:56:00 PM

Although New Jersey plans to buy out Colin White's contract in the likely event that he clears waivers, Devils GM Lou Lamoriello still thinks highly of him.

"We've known Colin since he was 17. He's been through two Cups with us, through good times and bad," Lamoriello said. "I have tremendous respect for everything he's done. I'll be surprised if he doesn't play in the NHL this season." We agree that White is worthy of an NHL job. He has no fantasy value, but White is a solid defensive defenseman who should attract some interest once he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
