Date:

Scott Gomez will be scratched against the Penguins on Tuesday.

Gomez has just one point in 13 games with Ottawa, and with just nine total points in 34 games this season we'd say his usefulness is null.

Scott Gomez will not dress for the Ottawa Senators when they visit the Winnipeg Jets

Tonight's game will mark consecutive scratches for Gomez since becoming a Senator 12 games ago (11-0-1-1). His only goal in 32 games split between Ottawa and St. Louis was scored on October 27, 2015.
Mar 30 - 7:02 PM

Scott Gomez will be scratched against Anaheim on Saturday night.

Through 11 games with Ottawa Gomez has posted just one whole assist. He has nine points overall in 32 games when you factor in his time with St. Louis as well. Suffice it to say, Gomez still isn't a fantasy factor.
Mar 26 - 6:14 PM

Scott Gomez will make his Senators debut on Thursday.

Ottawa signed Gomez for the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign to help compensate for the fact that Kyle Turris has been shut down. Gomez is projected to play alongside Alex Chiasson and Ryan Dzingel.
Mar 3 - 11:34 AM

Scott Gomez has inked a one-year, one-way deal with the Ottawa Senators.

Gomez's contract is worth $575,000 annually, but of course he'll only receive a fraction of that given that the regular season is in its final weeks. He'll help fill the void left by Kyle Turris, who has been shut down due to an ankle injury. Gomez had four goals and 24 points in 18 AHL contests with Hershey, but we wouldn't expect anywhere near that level of production out of him with Ottawa. That being said, he did demonstrate that he can still chip in occasionally at the NHL level when he played for St. Louis earlier this season. He had a goal and eight points in 21 games with the Blues.
Mar 2 - 12:32 PM

Scott Gomez has agreed to a professional tryout agreement with AHL Hershey.

Gomez has a goal and eight points in 21 games with St. Louis this season, but that stint ended with his contract being terminated. Hershey is affiliated with the Washington Capitals. "I think it’s good," Capitals Coach Barry Trotz said. "We’re a little thin there because of the center-ice injuries and call-ups and all of those things, so Scott has been a really good pro in the league for a long time. He’s got a real high skill set. Especially at the American level, he should be able to help a [Jakub] Vrana, who should be back fairly soon here, and some of our younger people. A guy like Chandler Stephenson can learn from a Scott Gomez."
Jan 14 - 12:59 PM

Scott Gomez went unclaimed on unconditional waivers.

That was to be expected. With that the St. Louis Blues can officially release him from his contract. Gomez had a goal and eight points in 21 contests with St. Louis in 2015-16.
Jan 1 - 1:00 PM

Scott Gomez has cleared regular waivers and has been placed on unconditional waivers.

He will be released from his contract with the Blues. Gomez had one goal and eight points 21 games with St. Louis.
Wed, Dec 30, 2015 01:20:00 PM

St. Louis has put Scott Gomez on waivers.

The Blues need to clear room with Kyle Brodziak and Patrik Berglund getting close to returns. Gomez has one goal and seven assists in 21 appearances this year.
Tue, Dec 29, 2015 12:15:00 PM

Scott Gomez and Carl Gunnarsson will each be scratched from Tuesday's match with Boston.

Gomez is being subbed out for Jordan Caron, who's making his Blues debut. Gomez is having an ice season as a 36-year-old with eight points in 20 games. Gunnarsson meanwhile is having a nice defensive season with five points, 14 PIMs, 36 hits, and 60 blocks through 35 games.

Scott Gomez will tag in on Saturday against the Flames.

Gomez has sat each of the last six games, but at least comes in with a respectable eight points in 18 games this season. Even the most ardent Blues fan would shy away from picking Gomez up, but if you have a spare slot to fill and don't desperately need the points, it could be fun to roll the dice.
Fri, Dec 18, 2015 11:31:00 PM

Scott Gomez will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the Nashville Predators.

Roberto Bortuzzo is also expected to watch from the press box. Gomez has one goal and eight points in 18 games this season. Neither player will have any fantasy value going forward.
Thu, Dec 17, 2015 06:57:00 PM

Scott Gomez and Roberto Bortuzzo won't dress on Tuesday against the Jets.

While Gomez has put up eight points in 18 games this season, and Bortuzzo has amassed 22 PIMs and 29 hits in 15 games thus far, neither own much fantasy value.
Tue, Dec 15, 2015 07:47:00 PM

Scott Gomez and Roberto Bortuzzo won't dress on Sunday for the Blues.

Gomez has a somewhat respectable eight points in 18 games this season. The two time Stanley Cup champion doesn't hold any fantasy value.
