Michal Rozsival feels fine after playing in back-to-back games over the weekend.
"It was a good challenge; it was a great test for the ankle and for myself," Rozsival said. "I felt OK, you know? I didn't feel my best, but OK. Obviously there are still some things I need to work on still, but overall I think I did OK. But most important we won both of the games. That's what makes me happy the most." It was his first game action since he suffered a fractured ankle in Game 4 against the Minnesota Wild last May. Rozsival doesn't have any fantasy value. Nov 18 - 11:01 AM

Michal Rozsival will be in the Chicago lineup against the Blues Saturday night.

The veteran rearguard is anxious to return to action as he has been out all season due to an ankle injury. Rozsival is a much better "real" defenseman than a fantasy one, so his presence in the lineup is a big deal to the Hawks, not such a big deal to you.
Nov 14 - 11:45 AM

Michal Rozsival (ankle) has been taken off of the long-term injured reserve list.

Rozsival hasn't played yet this season due to the injury. His return certainly makes things easier for the Blackhawks, but he doesn't do enough offensively to make him worth grabbing in standard leagues.
Nov 13 - 12:17 PM

Michal Rozsival (ankle) could be back in the lineup this weekend, according to coach Joel Quenneville.

"Yeah, I'm getting really close, feeling better every day, getting good workouts in practice and kind of getting into all situations out there," said Rozsival. When he's ready to return, he will probably join other defenders in a six-spot rotation.

Michal Rozsival (ankle) might be ready to return next week.

That's what coach Joel Quenneville is hoping for at least. Rozsvial took to the ice after practice on Tuesday, wearing a small parachute as part of his workout. He hasn't played yet this season.
Nov 3 - 6:33 PM

Michal Rozsival (ankle) isn't eligible to come off long-term injured reserve on Nov. 2.

His left leg is still building up its strength and his conditioning needs to improve, but he is getting close to being ready to return. "I'm feeling better, and doing my thing every day," he said. "It's a process I have to go through. Yeah, I wish I could be out there now, but I can't."
Oct 27 - 5:21 PM

Michal Rozsival (ankle) took part in Saturday's morning skate.

"I'm definitely excited to be with the team, get that regular practice feeling, get the passing and shooting and have a goalie in the net," Rozsival said over weekened. "I've been skating on my own, which is kind of boring. It's another step forward for me in my recovery." He is still some weeks away from being able to return and has about 85 percent range of motion in his left ankle, but his recent progress is encouraging.

Michal Rozsival is almost ready to skate with his Blackhawk teammates.

He seems to be almost fully recovered from a fractured ankle and is itching to get back. That said, Rozsival will have to sit out another 10 games or 24 days as he is currently on the long-term disability list effective October 6th.

Michal Rozsival is on the mend from a fractured ankle.

"I watched him skate today and it looks like he was moving extremely well," said coach Joel Quenneville Monday. "That's a big step for me, seeing how well he's skating and [with] some pace." The Chicago bench boss is hoping that Rozsival will be able to resume practices with the team next week.

Oct 6 - 4:15 PM

Michal Rozsival (ankle) has started some light skating.

He sustained a fractured ankle back in the playoffs and signed a one-year deal with Chicago this past weekend. The Blackhawks won't rush Rozsival back into the fold, but it wouldn't be surprising if he wasn't in the lineup on opening night even if he's healthy.
Sep 22 - 5:36 PM

Michal Rozsival is excited to be back with the Blackhawks.

Rozsival signed a one-year, $600K contract Saturday. He suffered a fractured ankle in Game 4 of the second-round playoff series with the Wild last season. "I didn’t even think about how much the contract would be worth," he said. "I just wanted to be back with this group and help this team do something special again." He is more valuable in real life than in fantasy as he posted just 13 points last season.

Sep 19 - 9:07 PM

The Chicago Blackhawks have inked veteran defenseman Michal Rozsival to a one-year deal Saturday.

Rozsival was in camp on a tryout basis but has now firmed up his roster position. With only 13 points in 65 games in 2014-15, Rozsival is not a fantasy factor.
Sep 19 - 11:04 AM

Defenseman Michal Rozsival, 37, will attend the Chicago Blackhawks' training camp on a professional tryout.

Rozsival was a member of the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup championship teams in 2013 and 2015. He produced 13 points in 65 regular-season games last season. In Game 4 of the Western Conference Second Round playoff game against Minnesota, he broke his left ankle. He didn't play another game and there was considerable speculation he would not return this season. He'll get a chance to reclaim his position, however, in training camp.
Sep 16 - 11:15 PM

Michal Rozsival had successful ankle surgery.

Rozsival suffered a fractured left ankle in Game 4 of Chicago's second round series against Minnesota. He's expected to make a full recovery in 12-16 weeks. In other words, he's likely done for the rest of the playoffs, but should be fine for the start of the 2015-16 campaign.
