Mike Fisher scored a goal in Saturday's 3-1 win over Minnesota.

Fisher's goal opened the scoring in the first period. The 34-year-old missed the first 21 games of the season because of an achilles injury, but he appears to be completely healthy now. Fisher has seven points in his last eight games. Even though he missed all that time at the beginning of the season, the Predators' forward is still on pace to score over 20 goals this season.

The Predators hope to talk contract with Mike Fisher soon, according to HNIC’s Elliotte Friedman.

Fisher is in the last season of a contract that carries a $4.2 million cap hit. The 34-year-old has five points in nine games this season, but it shouldn’t be difficult to get him under contract into the future as he hopes to stay with the organization.

Mike Fisher netted his second goal of the season in a 3-2 shootout win over Boston on Tuesday night.

Predators' head coach Peter Laviolette is happy with Mike Fisher's play since his return from an achilles injury.

The 34-year-old missed the first 21 games of the season with a ruptured achilles tendon. "He's been great," Predators coach Peter Laviolette said. "He brings a heavy two-way game along with his leadership and character that goes with him. His on-ice play I think has got steadily better." The 34-year-old has one goal and four points in eight games this season.

Mike Fisher batted in a goal and assisted on another later on in the first during Thursday night's 5-1 win over Arizona.

Fisher's power play goal, his first of the season, was beauty as he batted Shea Weber's saucer-pass to tie the game at one just under three minutes after Arizona had opened the scoring. Nearly five minutes later, it was Fisher's shot that James Neal batted in to put the Preds up for good. He now has four points on the season.

Mike Fisher was able to get through his first game since last spring without any significant problems.

He had missed the entire first quarter of the season due to a ruptured Achilles but looked pretty good in 20 shifts and 12:44 of playing time. Fisher was very efficient in the face off dot, winning nine of 14 draws. He may take a few games to get his timing back after missing so much time, but Fisher should be on your watch list, especially since there is word out of Nashville that he may get some time on the struggling Preds' power play.

Mike Fisher will make his 2014-15 debut on Thursday night after recovering from an Achilles injury.

He suffered a ruptured Achilles during off-season training, so he's bound to be rusty once his adrenaline wears down. Fisher had 20 goals and 49 points in 75 games with the Predators last year. He's slated to play with Derey Roy and Olli Jokinen because Matt Cullen is injured.

Mike Fisher isn't ready to return from a ruptured Achilles, but he is getting closer.

"I feel good, I'm getting close," he said after skating Thursday afternoon with Nashville's other scratches. However, Fisher isn't going to rush himself back. "I've got a few buddies, who don't play in the league, who have done it, and I talked to a few other guys who have friends that have done it in the league and the whole thing is just 'take a little bit extra time than you think' because once you get into a game you can get tired pretty easily." Fisher hasn't played yet this year because he suffered the injury while training in the off-season.

If everything goes well then Fisher may be available to return later this month. "Right now I don't really have a hard timeline," Fisher said. "It's not one of those things where you can't just test it a few days. It has to be a week or two at a time. I'll know when it's ready and when I'm getting close to feeling good." He ruptured his Achilles tendon while training in the summer and hasn't played since.
