Mike Fisher's return from a ruptured Achilles tendon is still optimistically scheduled for late November.
"He's working out on a regular basis here," GM David Poile said. "Everything is tracking to date, but the bottom line is still a four- to six-month injury. Optimistically, Thanksgiving and end of November. That's an optimistic target." Fisher sustained the injury in early June while training. Aug 13 - 5:03 PM

Mike Fisher suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon while training.

Fisher will miss the next four-to-six months as a result. In other words, Fisher isn't expected to return until November at the earliest and he might end up missing half the season. Even if he does end up missing just the first month, this will probably have a significant impact on his offseason training regimen, so we wouldn't be surprised if he struggles once he is back.

Jan 11 - 10:10 PM

Mike Fisher was enjoying his most productive streak since the 2007-2008 last week, but has gone pointless in his past two games.

The veteran center managed 10 points in a span of five games between late December and early January, but now that he's cooled down this week it might mark the end of his torrid streak. Nonetheless, Fisher still centers the Preds' first line and has 23 points this season.
