Brenden Morrow is excited to be a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
"They're hungry and growing into their own," he said shortly after signing a one-year deal worth $1.55 million. "I want to be a part of that." Tampa Bay GM Steve Yzerman said the team was eager to add Morrow because of his experience. "He does all the little things in a game that help teams win," Yzerman said. "He plays hard. He's physical. He's strong." The 35-year-old winger is unlikely to make an impact offensively with the Bolts, but his leadership could be very helpful to a young and emerging roster. Aug 5 - 10:25 AM

Count Brenden Morrow as one of the players who would have been happy to do without the Olympic break.

Morrow felt he was starting to find his groove just when the NHL season paused. He's had a disappointing season with 10 goals and 21 points in 51 games. Given that he's only averaged 12:54 minutes per contest, we don't expect him to finish the campaign on a high note.
