Kelechi Iheanacho scored in each half as Leicester City overcame Fleetwood Town 2-0 in their FA Cup third-round replay on Tuesday.

The Nigeria striker has had a rough time since his £25m summer switch from Manchester City, having played just 403 minutes for the Foxes prior to starting against Fleetwood Town. However, Iheanacho made the most of his chance. The 20-year-old opened the scoring when he converted a pass from Islam Slimani just before half-time and completed his double with a historic goal in 77th minute. Iheanacho's goal was initially disallowed for offside, but referee Jonathan Moss then allowed the goal after confirming with the video official that the striker was actually kept onside. The win means the Foxes will face Peterborough United in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Antonio Conte confirms Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas will miss the FA Cup replay against Norwich City at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea captain was forced off during the 0-0 draw with Leicester on Saturday, and although Cahill won’t be available tomorrow, he could be ready for the early kick-off this weekend. "He has a muscular problem, but not a serious problem," said Conte. "I don’t know how much time he needs to recover but the doctor told me it’s not serious." While David Luiz is expected to get a run out in the cup, the Chelsea boss may opt for Andreas Christensen in the league, if the England international remains sidelined. Elsewhere, Danny Drinkwater is the likely benefactor of Farbegas’ injury [on Wednesday], although a recall for Brazilian Willian at Brighton could be the call should the Spaniard fail to recover. Ross Barkley’s involvement has been delayed as his registration was not completed in time for him to feature in the third-round.

Jesus Gamez is nearing a return to action after stepping up his recovery from ankle surgery.

The Spaniard has struggled since his arrival from Atletico Madrid two seasons ago starting just three league games, while his time on Tyneside has been hampered by injury. The latest being a setback in November, which left Gamez requiring surgery to remedy an ankle complaint. However, the 32-year-old is not far away of being in contention having stepped up his recovery over the past few days. "We have Florian Lejeune, Jesus Gamez and Aleksandar Mitrovic all running," said Rafa Benitez. "Mitro is getting close and we will see [but] Gamez will take more time." This weekend will come too soon for the injured trio, however, with Newcastle due to travel to either Chelsea or Norwich in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the end of this month, the United boss may take the opportunity to give some of his fringe players some much-needed minutes ahead of the relegation dogfight.

Huddersfield Town midfielder Jack Payne has joined League One side Blackburn Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.

Payne joins Blackburn after being recalled by Huddersfield from his loan spell at Oxford United, having scored seven goals and tallied 12 assists in 33 appearances for the U's. The 23-year-old has now swapped the 10th-placed Oxford for promotion-chasing Blackburn, who currently sit third in the League One table.

Manchester City players reported for a post-match debrief on Monday - having lost for the first time domestically this season - and the news on Fabian Delph was much better than initially feared.

The makeshift left-back was pictured leaving Anfield on crutches with his knee in a brace on Sunday due to a suspected ligament problem. Delph endured a torrid opening half hour, before he was forced off through injury having twisted awkwardly making a challenge. "He will be out, I think, for a while," Pep Guardiola said. "I don’t know if it will be a lot of time but he will be out for a while. It is his knee, he turned his knee." However, respected City correspondent for Goal – Sam Lee – understands the injury may not be as bad as first feared with Delph expected to be missing for around two weeks due to a muscle strain. With Benjamin Mendy out until at least April, former Real Madrid defender Danilo will deputise at full-back.

Huddersfield Town have recalled attacking midfielder Jack Payne from his loan stint at Oxford United.

Payne joined Oxford United at the beginning of the 2017/18 season on a season-long loan, however, Huddersfield have cut his loan spell short and excised its recall clause. The 23-year-old, who featured predominantly in the number 10 role, scored three leagues goals and tallied nine assists in 27 League appearances. Overall, Payne played a hand on 19 goals (seven goals and 12 assists) in 33 total appearances for Oxford.

Manchester United cruised to victory on a 3-0 scoreline as Stoke's new manager Paul Lambert watched on from the stands.

United took control early in the tie, with Paul Pogba integral to their best moves. The Frenchman surged forward and set Antonio Valencia free as the defender scored United's first after beating Stoke full-back Josh Tymon. That came just minutes after Anthony Martial could have earned the Red Devils a penalty. However, Martial wasn't left ruing that as he scored United's second with a great curling effort, again assisted by the sublime Pogba. Romelu Lukaku added some late gloss to the scoreline late on. Stoke had their chances but Stephen Ireland missed the target with a big chance and De Gea was a match for attempts from Diouf and Shaqiri. A good result for José Mourinho as United gain on City but the result highlights how much work Paul Lambert has to do if he is to save The Potters from the drop.

Jose Mourinho provided a mixed team news update ahead of his sides game with managerless Stoke on Monday evening.

Following a 2-0 win over Derby County in the FA Cup ten days ago, United were whisked off to a warm weather training camp in Dubai to escape the bite of the British winter. "Very good – unbelievable facilities, the prince’s private facilities are better than any football club in the world," Mourinho said when asked how it was. "Unbelievable conditions to work, nice weather, three days of really, really good training. Hopefully we can improve our level because I really think it was good." Antonio Valencia, absent since December 17 due to a hamstring strain, was part of the group and following a full week of training he is "ready to play" although there are doubts over the availability of Anthony Martial who is "not ready, but I hope he can play." Ashley Young serves the final game of his three-match ban and Eric Bailly is not due to return until early February following ankle surgery.
