Former Virginia RB Clifton Richardson might explore schools at the FCS level.

"Richardson, who had 96 carries for 425 yards and two touchdowns in his U.Va. career, said he might explore the situations at Old Dominion, Richmond and South Carolina among other schools," beat writer Steve Woods writes. South Carolina was the first SEC team to offer him a scholarship coming out of high school.

Former Florida State senior DT Moses McCray has transferred to Akron

The redshirt senior does have a long injury history, however, including an elbow issue that kept him out most of spring 2010's practices and a foot injury which sidelined him for an entire year.

Oklahoma junior QB Blake Bell has more rushing touchdowns (24) than career passing attempts (20).

The "Belldozer" was used in a specific short yardage package for the last two seasons, which also set back Landry Jones' progression in those situations. The Sooners have an excellent slot target in Jalen Saunders, but it will be Bell's job to get him the ball in stride.

Scouts Inc.'s Todd McShay believes Florida junior CB Loucheiz Purifoy needs to add strength and improve in off coverage.

However, McShay thinks the Florida defender "has feet, balance, hips, (and) instincts to become (a) top-tier NFL corner." He went on to add all three of the Gators' corners could be drafted. McShay's counterpart, Mel Kiper, listed Purifoy as the No. 10 overall prospect heading into the 2013 season.

Penn State sophomore QB Steven Bench will transfer to USF, according to Joe Schad of ESPN.

Bench chose USF over Mississippi State, and will reportedly have a chance to win the starting job this season. "I want to get my face in the play book and get ready to go," Bench said. "Coach Taggart is a real confident guy.... He (Taggart) will play anybody anywhere anytime." Due to NCAA sanctions, Bench will be eligible for the 2013 season.

Former Oklahoma State sophomore QB Wes Lunt will visit Louisville early next week.

Jeremy Rauch of ABC 20 in Illinois notes that there has been no word on if Lunt will appeal any "blocked" schools, including ones in the Big 12, SEC, and Pac-12, along with Southern Miss and Central Michigan. Louisville and Illinois appear to be the favorites at this time.

Georgia sophomore TE Ty Flournoy-Smith is transferring.

The rising sophomore avoided a redshirt season last year due to the lack of depth at the position, but it obviously wasn't enough. Head coach Mark Richt said Flournoy-Smith will likely go to a junior college and has talked to Georgia Military College. He also left the door open for a possible return after the JUCO stint. The tight end was arrested in February for the misdemeanor charge of filing a false report of a crime.

Former Miami (OH) WR Nick Harwell will transfer to Kansas.

Harwell was suspended from the team after being arrested, and he was not expected back this season. The fourth year senior was the school's best wide receiver, however, there were times where his hands were very inconsistent. Head coach Charlie Weis was optimistic that Harwell would be eligible for the 2013 season.
