Athletics manager Bob Melvin said Wednesday that the team is not "locked into" activating Manny Ramirez on May 30.

Sizemore was expected to open the season as the A's starting third baseman, but he tore the ACL in his left knee early in camp and has been ruled out for the entire 2012 season. CF	1	Yoenis Cespedes D.L. Athletics manager Bob Melvin said Friday there's a ''good possibility'' Yoenis Cespedes (hand) will need a rehab assignment. The was some optimism Cespedes could return Monday but that now seems unlikely. The Cuban outfielder has been sidelined since May 7 with a muscle strain in his left hand. A best-case scenario would have him returning sometime late next week. May 25
