Todd Helton was sentenced to one year of probation, a $400 fine and 24 hours of community service after he entered a guilty plea Tuesday to "driving while ability impaired."
Helton was arrested back in February on suspicion of DUI. Prosecutors said Tuesday that the 39-year-old had a .102 blood alcohol level. "I am very regretful," Helton said in court. "I have taken measures to ensure it never happens again."

Helton had been sidelined since April 19 due to left forearm inflammation. He didn't play and rehab games, but the Rockies aren't worried about the 39-year-old's timing.

Helton has been sidelined since April 19 due to left forearm inflammation, but he will not require a minor league rehab assignment. The 39-year-old is hitting .268 (11-for-41) with one home run, three doubles and 10 RBI in 13 games this season.

Helton was finally placed on the DL Thursday after missing the last five games with left forearm inflammation. If the injury responds after the 4-5 days of rest, he could be ready for activation when first eligible on May 5. The inflammation in the tendon leaves him vulnerable to a more serious injury if he doesn't get it under control, though.

Michael Cuddyer (neck) will play two games in extended spring training this week and is expected to be activated from the disabled list Friday.
Cuddyer will fly to Arizona on Monday night and play in games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Barring any setbacks, he should be ready to go as soon as he's eligible on Friday. The 34-year-old has been sidelined since May 8 with a bulging disc in his neck.

Rockies placed LHP Jeff Francis on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 15, with a left groin strain.
It was reported previously that Francis tweaked his knee during Tuesday's start, but apparently his groin is the issue. Rob Scahill has taken his spot on the roster, but the Rockies have not announced who will take his spot in the rotation. Tyler Chatwood and Drew Pomeranz are the main options.
