Andres Torres went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's win against Washington.
Prior to the evening, Torres hadn't collected a hit since May 8. The 35-year-old backup outfielder is batting just .247/.282/.346 over 81 at-bats this season.

Andres Torres had a terrific all-around day in Friday's 5-2 win over the Rangers in Cactus League action, going 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI.
Torres was also active on the bases, netting his first steal of the spring season. He missed a few weeks of action with an oblique injury, but appears to be back on track and should be ready to go for Opening Day. He's expected to serve as the Giants fourth outfielder, unless he can beat out Gregor Blanco for the starting job in left field.

Sandoval has been on the DL for nearing a week due to a left foot strain. The Giants anticipate him being ready for activation on June 26, the first day he's eligible.

Ryan Vogelsong will have an exam on Tuesday in hopes that he'll be allowed to remove two of the five pins from his surgically-repaired right hand.
"Hopefully there's some pins coming out tomorrow," he said Monday. "That's the plan, but obviously I don't know for sure until I get some X-rays tomorrow and see how things are healing." If Vogelsong is able to get the pins removed, he'll begin additional mobility exercises. The Giants are hoping to get him back in late July.

Eric Surkamp (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A San Jose on Wednesday.
Surkamp, who is making his way back from Tommy John surgery, is expected to spend three weeks in the San Jose rotation. The left-hander could be an option for the Giants in a month or so.
