Marlins released INF-OF Chone Figgins.

Figgins tallied no extra-base hits in 32 plate appearances this spring in the Grapefruit League. He signed a minor league contract with the Fish in February after the Mariners cut ties with him in November. The 35-year-old utilityman will try to latch on with a new team. Mar 20 - 4:05 PM
