David Aardsma announced on his podcast that he's retiring from baseball and joining the Blue Jays as coordinator of player development.
Aardsma, 36, last pitched in the majors in 2015 with Atlanta. His best years were with the Mariners, where he served as a closer and saved 69 games from 2009-2010.
