David Wright went 3-for-4 with a homer and a steal against the Cubs on Friday.
Wright turned his right ankle coming around third base late in the game, but he was able to walk it off. An elite fantasy bat so far, he's hitting .312 with six homers and nine steals.

David Wright (knee) is in Saturday's lineup against the Pirates.
Wright left Friday's game in the eighth inning with a minor knee injury, but it was strictly precautionary and he won't miss any time. The Mets are obviously no longer concerned about it. Wright is hitting .306 with 23 RBI and six steals through 32 games.

David Wright said he doesn't expect to miss any time after leaving Friday's game with a minor knee injury.
Wright fouled a ball off his left knee in the first inning of the Mets’ loss to the Pirates, but said that his knee improved and that he expects to play Saturday. He finished 2-for-4 and grounded into an inning-ending double-play in the eighth before the Mets removed him from the game.

Wright indicated after the game that the move was purely precautionary and that his knee improved as the game progressed. As of now, it doesn't look like he'll need to miss any time, but it's something to keep an eye on.

Jenrry Mejia (elbow) racked up six strikeouts over three innings during his first minor league rehab start with High-A St. Lucie on Friday.
Mejia has been on the disabled list for the entire season with inflammation in his pitching elbow. He's likely to require a relatively lengthy rehab assignment, and shouldn't be expected to return to the Mets until early June. Should he secure a spot in the Mets rotation, he could carve out a decent amount of value in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

The move cleared a spot on the Mets' 40-man roster for Aaron Laffey. Santana (shoulder) won't pitch this season.

Francisco was diagnosed with a mild strain of the flexor pronator in his right elbow last week, but he's already back at it. However, it's not clear if he's throwing from a mound or simply playing catch or long-tossing. Either way, he's not close to rejoining the Mets' bullpen.

Collin McHugh was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to fill the vacant bullpen spot. Atchison has been shut down for a week and prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. It's not clear when he might return.
