The fourth-inning solo blast was his eighth home run of the season and his third in his past five games. The 32-year-old doesn't have an everyday role, but he has been an excellent bargain for the Indians after batting just .171 with one homer in 66 games with the division-rival Tigers last year. Myers has been out since late April with a mild UCL tear and was shut down last month after he felt renewed soreness. He's throwing again but could possibly return as a reliever. Jun 10

It sounds like it will probably be closer to four weeks, as Indians manager Terry Francona said the club will be "overly cautious" if they need to. "I think throwing his curveball aggravated it," said Francona. "Last year he was just flipping the curveball. Now he's been gripping it and ripping it and that seam [on the ball] has been digging into that finger. We've got to get that soreness out of there." Jun 9
