Kurt Suzuki went 2-for-4 with a walk-off RBI single in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Mariners.
The Twins faced a 2-1 deficit entering the ninth inning, but rallied with some nice situational hitting and a woeful bullpen performance from the M's. Miguel Sano led off the inning by doubling off Carson Smith, who recorded the next two outs, but also uncorked a wild pitch that allowed pinch-runner Shane Robinson to reach third. Following an intentional walk to Eddie Rosario, Smith delivered yet another wild pitch, which scored Robinson. Rosario would subsequently steal third before Suzuki ended the game with an RBI single. The heroics are fun, but they do little to mask the fact that the veteran catcher is hitting just .234/.290/.305 this season. Aug 2 - 12:12 AM
