Max Scherzer dominated the Indians over eight innings Tuesday, allowing just one run in the Tigers' 5-1 victory.
Scherzer allowed just two hits on the evening, striking out seven. After a first-inning run, the right-hander kept the Indians under wraps. The win moved him to 6-0 on the year, and he's got a 3.61 ERA and 0.91 WHIP through nine starts. His next start will come Sunday against the Twins.

Max Scherzer ran his record on the season to 5-0, allowing four runs on five hits over eight innings in Friday’s victory over the Indians.
The Indians made great use of their five baserunners on the evening, scratching out four runs against him. Scherzer has pitched incredibly well this season, posting a 3.61 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 61/9 K/BB ratio through his first 47 1/3 innings. He’ll go in search of victory number six when he takes on the Rangers in Arlington on Thursday.

Max Scherzer allowed just one run over eight innings as the Tigers beat the Astros on Saturday.
Scherzer gave up only three hits and two walks in his eight innings, striking out eight. Sure, the "it's the Astros" caveat applies, but Scherzer has now struck out 54 hitters in 39 1/3 total innings this season. With the way the schedule lines up, Scherzer's next scheduled start will come Saturday against the Indians.

Scherzer reached double figures in strikeouts for the third time in five starts this year, though this is the first time he's done so and won. His previous victories came in his weaker outings (4 ER in 5 IP against the Yankees and 5 ER in 5 IP against the Royals).

Austin Jackson (hamstring) is unlikely be activated from the disabled list when he's eligible Monday.
Jackson landed on the disabled list earlier this month with a strained left hamstring, but we haven't heard much about his progress. That's probably because there's little to update, as Chris Iott of MLive.com hears that he isn't currently doing any physical activity. Fantasy owners will have to hope that changes real soon.

It's the first time he's thrown from the bump since being shut down over the last week. Dotel will eventually need a rehab assignment, but it's not clear when it will begin. He'll likely return sometime next month if all goes well.
