Mariners 1B prospect Jesus Montero slugged a grand slam in Tuesday's win for Triple-A Tacoma.
The grand slam was Montero's first since 2010 when he played for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Montero finished the night with four hits and six RBI. He needed just a triple to complete the cycle. The 25-year-old had his ups and downs in the big leagues (.258, 23 HR, 88 RBI in 188 games) but he's settled in nicely at Tacoma, hitting .300 across 51 games this season. He's been particularly effective with runners in scoring position, batting .369 in 65 at-bats. Jun 3 - 2:20 PM
