Astros acquired INF Luis Valbuena and LHP Dan Straily from the Cubs for OF Dexter Fowler.
Valbuena's exit helps pave the way for the emergence of Cubs' super-prospect Kris Bryant at some point later this season. Given that the Astros infield is already set with Matt Dominguez, Jose Altuve and Jed Lowrie, it looks like Valbuena will be serving a bench-utility role. In 2014, he slashed .249/.341/.435. While Valbuena did hit 16 home runs and 33 doubles last season, both numbers were career highs and with a career slugging percentage of .374, Valbuena doesn't warrant much fantasy consideration.
