Astros manager A.J. Hinch said that Luis Valbuena (hamstring) is not likely for Friday's game against the Tigers.
This echoes what Hinch was saying prior to Wednesday's game with the Yankees. The Astros have a scheduled day off on Thursday. Valbuena actually might have been sat on Friday even if he was healthy, as the Tigers will be tossing out left-hander Matt Boyd and Valbuena is slugging just .400 against southpaws (as compared to .479 vs right-handed pitchers). Hinch has not ruled out playing Valbuena in one or both of the final two games of the weekend series. Jul 27 - 11:52 PM
