Matt Wieters drove in three runs, including the game-winning run in the eighth inning, as the Orioles topped the Royals 4-3 on Tuesday.
Wieters did all his damage with doubles, as he had a two-RBI double in the first inning before the game-winning RBI double in the eighth. The switch-hitting catcher isn't a reliable source of batting average -- he's hitting just .234 through Tuesday's game -- but he's a good bet for 20-plus homers and a good amount of RBI. There are better options at catcher, but there are worse, too.

Matt Wieters is not in Saturday's lineup.
It's not clear if this is injury related, but Wieters wasn't able to finish Friday's loss to the Angels. Chris Snyder will replace him behind the plate.

Matt Wieters belted a two-run homer in Monday's loss to the Mariners.
Wieters took Joe Saunders well over the left-field fence in the fourth inning to give the O's a brief lead, but the M's re-took the lead for good in the bottom of the inning. The Baltimore catcher now has four homers and 13 RBI on the year.

They were supposed to be removed on Friday, but Roberts wasn't sufficiently healed at that time. The second baseman is coming back from surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in the back of his right knee and will be out for at least the next six weeks or so.

It's been very slow progress for Betemit in his recovery from surgery to repair a PCL tear in his right knee. He still has yet to be cleared to resume baseball activities, and the timetable for his return continues to be pushed back. He's virtually irrelevant for fantasy purposes at this point.

Orioles placed OF Nolan Reimold on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 12, with a right hamstring strain.
It's the reason why Reimold was held out of the Orioles' lineup for the fifth straight day Saturday. Chris Dickerson will likely get the majority of starts at designated hitter in his absence. Given his injury history, Reimold could be looking at an extended stay on the DL.

Wei-Yin Chen (oblique) will head to the Orioles' spring training complex Tuesday to begin his rehab.
Chen landed on the 15-day disabled list May 13 with a strained right oblique and can't pick up a baseball for at least another week. But he's allowed to do cardio work while he waits. The right-hander should be ready to rejoin the O's starting rotation in early June.

Tsuyoshi Wada (elbow) allowed four runs over four innings Thursday in a rehab start at Triple-A Norfolk.
Wada gave up three hits and issued two walks but he fanned five batters and made it all the way to 78 pitches (45 of which were strikes). He's on his way back from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery and is aiming to join the Orioles' starting rotation at some point in early-to-mind June. The left-hander signed a two-year, $8.15 million contract with the O's in December 2011 but has not yet thrown a pitch in a major league game.
