Blue Jays claimed RHP Todd Redmond off waivers from the Orioles.
Redmond was claimed by the O's last month, but Baltimore removed him from their 40-man roster and the Jays have scooped him up. The righty posted a 3.63 ERA and 136/39 K/BB ratio over 148 2/3 innings at the Triple-A level and isn't bad to have around as a long relief option or rotation depth at Triple-A.

The 27-year-old made one spot start with the Reds last season and posted a 3.63 ERA and 136/39 K/BB ratio over 148 2/3 innings at the Triple-A level between Cincinnati and Atlanta. He seems likely to stick as a long man in the bullpen.

It's a major league deal for Redmond. The right-hander made just one spot start for the Reds in 2012 but boasts a 3.58 ERA over his minor league career. The 27-year-old will likely be used as a long man out of the bullpen.

Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said it "would not surprise me" if Jose Reyes returned in late June.
Reyes had the walking boot on his left foot removed Tuesday and is evidently recovering a bit ahead of schedule, as he had been expected to sit out until around the All-Star break. The shortstop is still in the early stages of his recovery, though. A lot can happen over the next six weeks.

Davis hasn't played since May 10 due to a strained oblique. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons doesn't expect it to be a long-term injury, so it's possible he could return later this month.

Johnson struck out five over three innings of one-run ball on Monday with High-A Dunedin. He's feeling good physically, but the right-hander obviously needs to build up his stamina. He'll rejoin the rotation in early June if he can avoid a setback.

Blue Jays transferred LHP J.A. Happ from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
Happ was hoping to make it back by mid-June, but he now won't be eligible to return until early July. The left-hander is coming back from a small fracture behind his left ear as well as a sprained right knee.

Dustin McGowan (shoulder) will continue his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo.
McGowan allowed one hit and one walk over two scoreless innings with High-A Dunedin and notched four strikeouts. The Blue Jays can't count on him given his lengthy injury history, but he could be an option to join the bullpen later this month if all goes well.

Drabek threw a bullpen session Monday in extended spring training. He's coming back from the second Tommy John surgery of his career, so the Blue Jays figure to take things slow, but he could be looking at a return around midseason if all goes well.

The move was made in order to clear room on the 40-man roster for Thad Weber. Santos will be out until after the All-Star break following surgery to remove bone chips and spurs from his right elbow.

Blue Jays placed LHP Darren Oliver on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 19. with a left shoulder strain.
Oliver has been dealing with the ailment for 7-10 and hadn't appeared in a game in nearly a week. He shouldn't be out long, but the Jays have decided to play things safe. Toronto still has two lefties in the bullpen in Aaron Loup and Brett Cecil.
