Matt Dominguez went 0-for-3 in Thursday's loss to the Yankees.
Dominguez, making outs like no one else in baseball right now, is batting .203 with just two walks in 123 at-bats since the All-Star break. He's hit for more power than expected as a major leaguer, but he's never been the defensive dynamo that he came advertised as while in the minors. It might actually be a good thing for him that the Astros acquired Colin Moran from the Marlins in the Jarrod Cosart deal; if they didn't have a third base prospect worth waiting on, the position would be an obvious place to try to upgrade at this winter. As is, they might as well give Dominguez another year and see what happens with Moran and Rio Ruiz. Aug 21 - 3:26 PM
