Mets GM Sandy Alderson confirmed Friday that Travis d'Arnaud (foot) should be ready to play in minor league games by the end of June.
D'Arnaud is still in a walking boot, but he's hoping to be cleared for weight-bearing activities in two weeks. The 24-year-old suffered a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal in his left foot during a mid-April game at Triple-A Las Vegas and will continue to be moved along slowly. D'Arnaud won't be a candidate for a promotion to majors until well into the second half of the season.

New York Newsday
Mets prospect catcher Travis d'Arnaud (foot) can't do anything weight-bearing for another two weeks.
D'Arnaud suffered a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal in his left foot four weeks ago in Triple-A. The Mets were hoping that he would be able to shed his walking boot Friday, but there was always the chance that he would need more time. The 24-year-old backstop is unlikely to return to game action until the end of June.

Mets catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud will have his broken left foot reexamined on May 17.
D'Arnaud suffered a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal in his left foot during a mid-April game at Triple-A Las Vegas and has been in a walking booth ever since. The injury did not require surgery and he is expected to be ready for action around mid-June.

Mets prospect catcher Travis d'Arnaud (foot) is expected to miss around eight weeks.
D'Arnaud suffered a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal in his left foot during Wednesday's game with Triple-A Las Vegas. While the injury will not require surgery, the 24-year-old will be sidelined until mid-to-late June. We wouldn't count on seeing him in the majors until well into the second half of the season.

Jenrry Mejia (elbow) racked up six strikeouts over three innings during his first minor league rehab start with High-A St. Lucie on Friday.
Mejia has been on the disabled list for the entire season with inflammation in his pitching elbow. He's likely to require a relatively lengthy rehab assignment, and shouldn't be expected to return to the Mets until early June. Should he secure a spot in the Mets rotation, he could carve out a decent amount of value in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

Johan Santana
D.L.
Mets transferred LHP Johan Santana from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
The move cleared a spot on the Mets' 40-man roster for Aaron Laffey. Santana (shoulder) won't pitch this season.

Frank Francisco (elbow) has resumed throwing.
Francisco was diagnosed with a mild strain of the flexor pronator in his right elbow last week, but he's already back at it. However, it's not clear if he's throwing from a mound or simply playing catch or long-tossing. Either way, he's not close to rejoining the Mets' bullpen.

Mets placed RHP Scott Atchison on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his right elbow.
Collin McHugh was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to fill the vacant bullpen spot. Atchison has been shut down for a week and prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. It's not clear when he might return.

Jeurys Familia

Jeurys Familia (biceps) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Saturday with High-A St. Lucie.
If all goes well, Familia should quickly move up to Triple-A Las Vegas. He should get another chance in the major league bullpen before long. The 23-year-old right-hander has been sidelined since May 8 with right biceps tendinitis.
