Aaron Hicks, and the majority of the Twins’ offense, went hitless against Anibal Sanchez in Friday’s loss to the Tigers.
Even though he’s picked up the pace offensively in recent weeks, Hicks is still hitting an incredibly disappointing .157/.242/.279 on the season with four homers, 16 RBI and four stolen bases. While he possesses exceptional talent and tools, he may be best served on benches in fantasy leagues until he can establish consistency at the plate.

Aaron Hicks went 3-for-4 and hit his fourth homer Wednesday against the Braves.
Hicks had fallen back into a 2-for-25 slump since his two-homer game on May 13. Today's homer off Cory Rasmus was his first off a righty. He was hitting just .119 in 101 at-bats against them.

Aaron Hicks hit his second and third homers Monday off the White Sox's Hector Santiago.
Hicks also walked tonight. He and manager Ron Gardenhire had a couple of issues last week, but the Twins have little choice but to stick with him with Darin Mastroianni sidelined. Don't count him out as a decent fantasy outfielder.

Aaron Hicks (elbow) is back in Monday's lineup against the White Sox.
Hicks sat out Saturday and Sunday with elbow soreness, but he's ready to give it a go. The rookie outfielder is batting .137/.239/.216 with one home run, 13 RBI, and three stolen bases in 30 games this season.

The good news is that Florimon isn't expected to miss much time after leaving Thursday's game with a right index finger sprain. Eduardo Escobar is likely to be at shortstop for the Twins Friday.

Trevor Plouffe passed an imPACT concussion test on Thursday.
Plouffe took a knee to the head Tuesday night when he tried to break up a double play and was placed on the 7-day disabled list because of his initial wooziness. However, he has already done some cardio work and should return right around when he's first eligible.

Darin Mastroianni underwent surgery Thursday to repair bone chips on his left ankle.
The best-case scenario is that Mastroianni will resume weight-bearing activities in three weeks. However, he's expected to be sidelined until the second half of the season.
