Jordan Zimmermann got the win on Wednesday against the Braves, yielding four runs (three earned) in seven innings.
Zimmermann also helped his own cause, knocking in three runs with a single to left-center in the fourth inning to give the Nationals a 5-3 lead at the time. On the pitching end of things, the right-hander gave up eight hits and a walk while striking out seven. A.J. Pierzynski knocked in two runs in the first inning with a single but Zimmermann was otherwise stingy. He's now 2-2 with a 4.88 ERA, a 1.40 WHIP, and an 18/6 K/BB ratio in 27 2/3 innings. He'll look to lower his ERA when he faces the Marlins at home in his next start. Apr 29 - 9:58 PM
