Jake Odorizzi struck out nine batters and allowed three runs over six innings in Saturday's 9-0 loss to the Yankees.
Despite another good outing he was unable to come away with the win, as Masahiro Tanaka completely dominated Odorizzi's offensive teammates. A Brian McCann RBI triple(!) in the sixth inning broke a scoreless tie. Despite the ultimate team loss, Odorizzi is off to one of the best starts in the majors. His ERA sits at a sterling 1.75 and he's allowed just nine hits over 20 1/3 innings. The 25-year-old has struck out 19 over that same stretch. He'll try to continue his high-strikeout ways against the Blue Jays. Apr 18 - 11:10 PM
