Jackson was out for a little over a week with a turf toe injury. The 24-year-old is hitting just .219/.315/.406 in 74 plate appearances this season for the Iowa Cubs.

Jackson is currently dealing with some right shoulder inflammation, but he wasn't going to make the Opening Day roster, anyway. He'll work on his new swing at Triple-A.

He's been out of commission for over a week due to right shoulder inflammation. Jackson will begin the season at Triple-A while he works on his new swing.

An MRI confirmed that Jackson isn't dealing with any structural damage, but there's no reason for the Cubs to take any chances at this point. Jackson is expected to open this season at Triple-A Iowa, so the injury will likely prevent him from making the Opening Day roster.

He's also throwing from 120-130 feet and is expected to start swinging a bat early next week. Clevenger is on the 60-day DL and won't be eligible to return until mid-June. He should have no trouble being ready at that time, though he's not a given to return to the big club.

Cubs manager Dale Sveum said Tuesday that Arodys Vizcaino (elbow) is a couple weeks away from appearing in a game.
He is presumably referring to an extended spring training game. Vizcaino, who will continue his rehab with the Cubs rather than at the club's spring training facility, is expected back around midseason.
