Jake Marisnick homered twice, doubled and knocked in five runs as the Astros beat the Rays 14-7 on Monday.
A quiet five-week stretch had resulted in fewer at-bats for Marisnick lately -- the start tonight was just his second in seven games -- but he helped the cause tonight. It ended up being his second career two-homer game and first game with either four runs scored or five RBI. In spite of his recent struggles, Marisnick has an .882 OPS for the year. We doubt he'd match that in an expanded role, but he's been a significant asset for the AL's best team. Aug 1 - 12:30 AM
