Brewers pitching prospect Eric Arnett underwent surgery to repair a torn right ACL on Thursday morning.
The procedure will require a recovery time of 5-6 months, which means Arnett can be ruled out for the entire first half of the 2013 season. The former 26th overall pick has battled injuries throughout his professional career. He posted a 3.56 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 61/31 K/BB ratio across 60 2/3 innings last season in High-A ball.

Brewers pitching prospect Eric Arnett is scheduled to visit a team doctor Wednesday about his right knee.
The fear is that the former first-round selection has suffered a torn ACL. Arnett has struggled with injuries throughout his pro career and could miss all of 2013 if he requires a reconstructive knee procedure.

Brewers prospect Eric Arnett will open the year on the disabled list due to a rotator cuff injury.
Arnett won't be allowed to pick up a baseball for a month and is likely to miss the first half of the 2011 season. A first-round selection in 2009, he has a 6.18 career ERA in the minor leagues and has a long way to go as a pitcher. He turned 23 years old in January.

Brewers 2009 first-round pick Eric Arnett was demoted from Class A Wisconsin to rookie ball.
Ouch. Arnett, who was the No. 26 overall selection in 2009, has a 5.93 ERA over his first 26 professional appearances, dating back to last season. He is 0-7 with a 6.87 ERA over his first 12 starts this season. The 22-year-old was expected to move rather quickly in the system, so hopefully there's just something out of whack with his mechanics.

It's the first time he's done so since undergoing knee surgery. Hart admitted that the running was "awkward," but he could be ready for a rehab assignment in about a week. The assignment is expected to take a while, so it will likely be well into June before Hart is activated.

It's a procedural move, as Gamel required surgery in early March to repair a torn right ACL and is expected to miss the entire 2013 season. The Brewers now have an opening on their 40-man roster.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said Wednesday that Kyle Lohse began feeling discomfort in his right elbow "two or three starts ago" and was recovering slower than usual between starts.
As a result, the Brewers have scratched him from his next scheduled start on Saturday. The Brewers are hopeful that it's not a major issue, but this isn't what you want to hear from someone who is in the first year of a three-year, $33 million contract.

Chris Narveson (finger) is scheduled to face live hitters on Friday.
It will come after another successful bullpen session on Tuesday. If Friday's session goes well, Narveson will begin a rehab assignment early next week. "The finger felt good. Just kind of taking it day by day and see how it goes Friday against hitters," Narveson said. "You’re just trying to prepare yourself and get your body ready to pitch again. I think you expect yourself to hit the ground running once you come back."

Mark Rogers (shoulder) has been pulled from his minor league rehab assignment.
Rogers had a rough 11.12 ERA and 1/8 K/BB ratio in 5 2/3 innings with Double-A Huntsville and left his most recent appearance on Tuesday due to tingling in his right arm. The 27-year-old has a long injury history and began the season on the disabled list with what was termed as right shoulder instability. He has been sent back to Phoenix for further testing, after which we should know more about the next step.
