A.J. Cole worked 5 2/3 innings of one-run ball Monday in the Nationals' win over the Phillies.
Cole did a good job of damage control in this one, scattering six hits and two walks while striking out five. The one run he gave up came on a solo shot by Odubel Herrera in the bottom of the fourth inning. Cole has lowered his regular-season ERA to 4.10 and he may have a spot on the Nationals' NLDS roster as a long reliever. Mon, Sep 25, 2017 10:34:00 PM
