Jimmy Paredes delivered a pinch-hit walk-off RBI single in the 13th inning on Friday to lead the Phillies to a 4-3 victory over the Marlins.
The winning rally was set up after Peter Bourjos led off the bottom of the 13th with a single against A.J. Ramos. Cameron Rupp struck out for the first out of the inning, but Odubel Herrera followed with a single to center which moved Peter Bourjos to third. The Marlins elected to intentionally walk Freddy Galvis to load the bases, but Paredes ripped a single into the outfield to end a long night in Philadelphia. Parades briefly put himself on the fantasy radar last season with the Orioles, but he’s batting just .228/.258/.386 with five homers and 18 RBI over 76 games as a utility player this year.
