Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a stolen base in Thursday afternoon's loss to the Nationals.
Yelich was the offensive star for the Marlins on Thursday. Which isn't saying much. His two singles represented 66% of the team's hit output on the day. That's three total hits by the Marlins, if you're not into math. Max Scherzer will do that to you. Yelich also stole his 10th base of the season in the contest. He's hitting just .267/.343/.360 with five homers, 23 RBI and 34 runs scored this season, but if you need somebody to slap singles off Max Scherzer, you've found your guy. Joking aside, Yelich's raised his triple-slash from a watery .217/.279/.296 mark in June and has value in deeper mixed leagues. Jul 30 - 3:08 PM
