Martin Maldonado hit a walk-off home run in the 17th inning to give the Brewers a 7-6 win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
Maldonado sweetly, mercifully ended a game that saw Brewers starter Matt Garza pitching five innings of relief ball. The catcher smacked his game-winner off of Vidal Nuno with one out in the bottom of the 17th frame. Maldonado played well throughout the game, finishing 4-for-6 with two walks, a homer, two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored. Just all-around goodness here for a player who is hitting .182/.254/.273 in 121 at-bats. The world works in mysterious ways. May 31 - 8:17 PM
